Physical Literacy for Older Adults
Canadians are aging in great numbers and a physical literacy approach is needed to keep older adults moving in order to maintain their physical, mental and social health and wellness. What are fitness needs of adults as they age, what is the difference between physical literacy, physical activity and physical fitness, why don't older adults participate more in physical activity, what are the key barriers to participation, how can these barriers be addressed for building resilience and durability as we age will be highlighted in this workshop.
