1. Keynote - Joe Doiron

Founder and CEO of Active Kids Adventures

Joe A. Doiron is the founder and CEO of Active Kids Adventures, a primary prevention initiative that blends storytelling, music, and movement to promote literacy, leadership, and physical literacy in young children.

With over 30 years in public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, Joe has advanced healthy public policy grounded in the social determinants of health. His experience spans project management, stakeholder engagement, public speaking, and thought leadership.

He previously held senior roles with ParticipACTION and the Public Health Agency of Canada, where he led innovative national initiatives in healthy living and chronic disease prevention. Notably, Joe led the creation of Let’s Get Moving: A Common Vision for Increasing Physical Activity and Reducing Sedentary Living in Canada (2015–2018).

For his lifelong contributions, he received the Chief Public Health Officer Medal for Canada. Joe lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and is a proud husband, father, and outdoor enthusiast dedicated to healthy, active living.
