Dr. Léonie Beauchamp
Genitourinary Pathologist/pathologiste génito-urinaire
Bio: Dr. Léonie Beauchamp is a pathologist with expertise in the diagnosis of diseases
affecting the genitourinary system. She completed her medical degree and specialty
training in pathology at the Université de Montréal before beginning her career in
Moncton, New Brunswick, where she combined clinical practice with a strong passion for
teaching human anatomy as a clinical professor at the Université de Sherbrooke.
In 2023, she pursued advanced training through a fellowship in genitourinary pathology
at Johns Hopkins University, where she also completed the institution’s longitudinal
program in teaching skills. She is now based at Toronto General Hospital/University
Health Network, where her academic focus is on education—mentoring medical
students, residents, and fellows in diagnostic pathology.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Beauchamp is deeply committed to health literacy and
education in the broader community. She is particularly interested in bridging medicine,
education, and public engagement to empower individuals with knowledge about their
bodies.
